Horsepower of the non-equine variety was on show at a fundraiser for Gisborne Riding For The Disabled at the RDA arena at Showgrounds Park over the weekend.
The featured an impressive line-up of hot rods and custom cars including street machines, classic and vintage cars and modified pre-1948 American cars.
The
event was hosted by Surf City Rod and Custom Club and as well as the 65 cars on display, Gisborne Classic Motorcycle Club, Freedom Riders and Union Jack club members had a range of bikes on display. Kevin Birtwistle, of the Surf City club, said there was a steady flow of people through the doors over the weekend and they were happy with how it went.
All money raised went to Gisborne RDA.
