Another bout of heavy rain is on the way for the district, according to the severe weather outlook from MetService.
A low is developing west of the North Island and is expected to deepen today, then move over the North Island tomorow, although the exact track is uncertain at this stage.
MetService says the low may become slow-moving north of the Bay of Plenty or just east of the North Island on Monday.
MetService has moderate confidence that heavy rain will require a warning for Gisborne/Tairāwhiti, Hawke’s Bay and the Wairarapa coast on Monday and Tuesday.
There will be updates on the track and intensity of the weather, and whether warnings are needed. — RH
