Around 150 people will gather next Wednesday night at the Vines Restaurant at Bushmere Estate for the East Coast Ballance Farm Environment Awards.
Organisers are delighted with the response to ticket sales, which have closed.
“It’s been a great response,” an awards spokeswoman said.
Three Gisborne couples and their sheep and beef properties are among the finalists — Jeremy and Laura Watson of Monowai Station at Waimata, Alex and Megen Campbell of Awapapa Station at Hangaroa and Roger and Caly White of Cheviot Hills at Waerenga-o-Kuri.
The other four finalists are from Hawke’s Bay.
