Teenagers from Gisborne were arrested after an episode at the weekend that started with a car allegedly stolen from Gisborne and ended in the Bay of Plenty.
The teenagers, three from Gisborne and one from Kawerau, are aged 15 to 18 years of age.
“It is alleged they stole a
car from Gisborne and drove it to Whakatane, where they allegedly took another vehicle,” police said. “They crashed that vehicle and were arrested.”
The group face car crime and theft charges.
