Wednesday was a great one for youth cricket at the Harry Barker Reserve.
The reserve served as the venue for the Primary Festival Day on which 10 teams from nine schools played five fast-paced games of eight-a-side, eight-over softball cricket.
Wainui fielded two teams. Motu had a stand-alone team, and
Bob Whinray Garnett visited New Zealand for the first time to learn about his ancestor.
