Wednesday was a great one for youth cricket at the Harry Barker Reserve.
The reserve served as the venue for the Primary Festival Day on which 10 teams from nine schools played five fast-paced games of eight-a-side, eight-over softball cricket.
Wainui fielded two teams. Motu had a stand-alone team, and
also fielded a combined team with Ngatapa.
The age-band was expanded from Year 3 to Year 6, to Year 1 to Year 8.
