Earlier in the week The Herald printed a picture of the 383-gram feijoa leading the Kaiaponi Farms 2019 picker competition to find the biggest fruit.
Yesterday this whopper found by Kelly Ryland weighed in at 403.2g to take the lead.
It is 100 millimetres in length and 238mm in diameter.
Kaiponi kiwifruit/feijoa manager Alan Knight said the feijoa harvest started in the first week of March and they expected it to run until the end of April.
Distribution is throughout New Zealand to the major supermarket chains and individual buyers.
