Tolaga Bay’s George Sheild and Smoke are among several Gisborne competitors putting on a good show at the Tux North Island Sheep Dog Championships at Lochinvar Station near Taupo.
In the zigzag hunt Sheild and Smoke collected 98.25 points. Also from Tolaga Bay, Leo Edginton and Robert earned 97.50 points,
Brad McHardy and June, from Waingake, had 97 points.
The zigzag hunt runoff final today was to decide one of the four titles.
In the longhead Waimata’s Merv Utting and Bob are still in the top seven. In the shorthead and yard Utting, with Guy. are in the top seven.
