An event showcasing what it is like to work in emergency services is being run for students  tomorrow.

A mock emergency at Harry Barker Reserve will demonstrate the roles of police, Fire and Emergency NZ staff and St John Ambulance.

Students will assemble at the grandstand for the demonstration and there will be an opportunity for them to engage with the rescue crews afterwards.

  • The event, run by New Zealand Police with support from Trust Tairāwhiti and EIT, will run from 10am to 1pm.
