City firefighters were called to a gas leak at a house in Aberdeen Road and to a car fire on Back Ormond Road in the early hours of this morning.
At 1am, they were called about the gas problem to an Aberdeen Road house under renovation near Carnarvon Street.
“There
was no one at the house at the time and there was a noticeable gas leak outside,” a senior firefighter said.
“We isolated the supply and checked the interior of the property was gas-free.”
At 3am, a fire crew was called to Back Ormond Road near Snowsill Road to put out an abandoned car that had been set alight.
