A Gisborne woman remains in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital after a two-car crash at Rotoma in the Bay of Plenty on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened on State Highway 30 near Braemar Rd just after 2pm. The 31-year-old Gisborne woman was a front seat passenger in one of
the cars. She is in the intensive care unit at Waikato. Four other people, with moderate injuries, were taken by ambulance to Whakatane Hospital and three others had minor injuries.
The police have a serious crash investigation under way.
