More than 1000 children are expected to turn out tomorrow for the More FM annual pirate treasure beach dig.
A Facebook video showing what to expect at the beach dig had been seen by 4000 people, said Wainui Lions director of publicity Ian Stewart.
He estimated between 1500 and 2000
children could show up on the day.
The dig will be at Churchill Park from 3pm to 5pm.
Children pay $3 to enter and can dig for discs which provide vouchers for various prizes as well as a unique number qualifying them for a prize draw. Prizes include a ride on the Trust Tairawhiti rescue helicopter.
