Bullies on boardwalk

Opinion

We are blessed our child’s grandparents have taken their grandchildren on so many outings these school holidays. Unfortunately, yesterday’s outing to our city’s amazing boardwalk was tainted. Grandparents were on foot with grandfather leading the way, grandchildren in the middle on scooters and skateboards with grandmother bringing up the rear when two girls sprayed hairspray (we think) into our son’s eyes. This caused him to fall off his scooter and just about the boardwalk. Grandfather confronted the girls, all was denied with big smiles on their faces — proud of the act they had performed and gotten away with. That was all it took to ruin what was going to be yet another great family outing in the fresh air and sunshine :-(
