Alzheimers Gisborne Tairāwhiti was delighted when the president of the Gisborne Contract Bridge Club, Noel Minnaar and Robyn Cheyne called in with an envelope.
The envelope contained a donation of $400 from Gisborne Contract Bridge Club’s charity day held in support of the Sherwood Club.
Mr Minnaar said the clubwanted to support the work of the Sherwood Club in recognition of the good work that the
staff do to provide a fun-filled and socially rich environment for people with mild to moderate dementia.
Alzheimers Gisborne Tairāwhiti manager Tracy Robinson said not only was it a generous donation from the club but it was also gratifying to know that people in the community were aware of those
“The services we provide ensure our clients have quality interactions and support that contributes to their quality of life. This money will allow us to buy resources for our programme that
is continuously changing and in need of new supplies.”
