Alzheimers Gisborne Tairāwhiti was delighted when the president of the Gisborne Contract Bridge Club, Noel Minnaar and Robyn Cheyne called in with an envelope.

The envelope contained a donation of $400 from  Gisborne Contract Bridge Club’s charity day held in support of the Sherwood Club.

Mr Minnaar said the club wanted to support the work of the Sherwood Club in recognition of the good work that the

staff do to provide a fun-filled and socially rich environment for people with mild to moderate dementia.

Alzheimers Gisborne Tairāwhiti manager Tracy Robinson said not only was it a generous donation from the club but it was also gratifying to know that people in the community were aware of those
