The Gisborne Young Farmers Club aims to start up again thanks to some passionate locals who intend to hold a meeting at the Rangatira Tavern later this month to gather support for it.

“This is a great way for young people to get involved in the community, get off-farm, and have some fun,” said a New Zealand Young Farmers spokeswoman.

“The meet-and-greet event on Wednesday, March 27 starts at 6.30pm. We’d love to get as many people along as possible,” she said.

“It’s exciting news and they’ll talk about what the club has planned for the year, the NZYF membership, and also catch up with everyone in the area.

“Everyone will be welcome — bring a friend and get amongst it!”
