Armed police went to a house in Roebuck Road on Sunday morning after they received a report from a member of the public who said they heard what sounded like a gunshot.
The call came in at around 8.20am that morning to a property near Gisborne Intermediate School.
“A person reported a loud bang which they thought might have been a gunshot,” police said.
“There were no weapons or anything of concern located at the address and no other reports received.”
