A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.

More houses are being built to accommodate a larger population . . . where will more water come from to serve those families?
When he was our mayor Meng Foon suggested requiring water tanks on properties for new residential construction. The GDC of the day ignored the suggestion.
We have a tank full
of lovely rainwater outside our house and it has made a difference during the recent devastation.
I sent an email to Mayor Stoltz suggesting she follow Mayor Foon’s suggestion. I added that perhaps owners of existing residential properties could be encouraged with incentives to add a water tank.
