Opinion

I don’t know if I can still offer my thoughts, but here goes nothing. May I break my self-imposed exile by recommending a book I have just read. It is “Stop the Clock” (a memoir on ageing with dignity, grace and humour). It is written by Gordon McLauchlan, a man of great media experience.
He was born in 1931 and died in 2020.
As an 85 year old, I would recommend it as a good read. I found a lot of things in it resonated with me.
It is chock full of interesting quotes and observations from an educated and knowledgeable observer of the human condition.
