Roses and irises of all colours will fill the Farmers Air Showgrounds Event Centre this weekend for the annual Poverty Bay Horticultural Society Summer Show.
Society president Wendy Davies took a moment this week to enjoy the heady fragrance of the blooms at the Rose Gardens.
The weekend show runsfrom noon to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sunday. Entry price is $5. At 1pm on Saturday guest speaker Doug Grant will be talking about growing vegetables, with a Q&A session to follow.
