The stars aligned on Saturday night for a lucky Gisborne Lotto player as they shared the First Division prize with a player from Christchurch.

Each will pocket $500,000.

The Gisborne winning ticket was sold at Ballance Street Bookshop.

A shop spokeswoman said yesterday the winning ticket to their knowledge had not been claimed as yet.

“It’s great,” she said. “There’s a really nice buzz in the shop because of it. We really hope it’s gone to a local player.”

Powerball was not struck on Saturday night and has rolled over to tomorrow night, where the jackpot will be $15 million.

Strike Four has also rolled over and will be $400,000 tomorrow night.

Lotto suggests anyone who bought their ticket from any of the winning stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App.
