There are 147 active cases of Covid-19 in Tairāwhiti.
These are the latest figures released by Te Whatu Ora at 11.59pm on Sunday.
There have been 36 deaths, but none were reported in the week to Sunday night and a total of 24,966 cases in the district since the firstcases of Covid were recorded in early 2020.
There were 22 deaths recorded across the nation in the week to Sunday night.
New Zealand has 5343 active cases and there has been a total of 2,446,874 cases.
Of the 22 people whose deaths were reported to Sunday night, three were from Northland, five were from Auckland region, one was from Waikato, two were from Bay of Plenty, one was from MidCentral, two were from Wellington region, two were from Nelson-Marlborough, one was from Canterbury, one was from West Coast, three were from South Canterbury and one was from Otago-Southland.
Two were in their 30s, one was in their 50s, one was in their 60s, seven were in their 70s, six were in their 80s and five were aged over 90. Of these people, seven were women and 15 were men.
