Worst-Christmas-jersey competition, twinkle light tunnel, face painting, games, carols and fashion parade on a candy-cane runway. The Millard Studio
Tairāwhiti Museum until Sunday January 28. This exhibition displays many fine portraits taken in the early 1900s, costumes of the time and significant locals and groups are reprinted in large format to show their glamour and detail. The Millard studio was established in 1915.
Rima Tekau - Melanie Tahata
Rima Tekau is a sharing and expression of whānaungatanga, of toi Māori and most importantly, aroha. Sharing this milestone in her creative life-path, multi-disciplinary artist Melanie Tahata has curated a solo exhibition of whānau archives alongside a selection of older and recent works.
