It's been part of my 'eating life' for over 50yrs. My Mum used to make it for an easy Sunday evening dinner and then if there were any leftovers we'd make toasted sandwiches with it as the filling for lunch the next day. Quick and easy and ALWAYS tasty
Ingredients
500 g | Mince (Main) |
2 large | Onions |
2 cups | Water |
2 dessert spoons | Curry powder |
1 Tbsp | Soy sauce |
3 ½ Tbsp | Rice |
1 pinch | Pepper |
1 pinch | Salt |
200 g | Green beans |
½ | Cabbages |
soup mix
1 packet | Vegetable soup mix |
Directions
- Add oil to frying pan. Cook sliced onions until lightly browned and then add mince. Cook on medium heat for a further 10 mins.
- Add curry powder, soy sauce, washed rice, pepper and salt, shredded cabbage and beans and cook for a further 15-20 minutes.
- Add packet of chicke noodle soup and cook for a further 10 minutes.
- Serve with warmed bread rolls
