KEY POINTS:
The local sharemarket was up soon after opening this morning after a relatively flat close on local and international markets last week.
The benchmark NZSX-50 index was up 10 points to 3641 at 10.15am today after closing up on Friday for the sixth consecutive day - the first time this year.
Top stock Telecom was unchanged in early trading at 403, while Contact was down 2c to 862, Fletcher Building up 8c to 864.
Fisher & Paykel Appliances rose 2c to 239, Port of Tauranga up 6c to 626, Auckland Airport 7c to 229 and ANZ Bank Group 20c to 2775.
Lion Nathan was down 10c to 1060 and Sky City 10c to 385.

US stocks were little changed on Friday as nagging fears about more bank losses and the biggest monthly decline in the job market in five years overshadowed earlier optimism that the credit crisis may be easing.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 16.61 points to end at 12,609.42. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 1.09 points at 1370.40. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 7.68 points at 2370.98.
