KEY POINTS:
The sharemarket opened flat this morning with Telecom leading a downward trend, however The Warehouse prices continued to rise.
The NZSX-50 benchmark was down 2.11 to 4060.79 at 10.30am. There were 76 stocks traded with 24 falls and 20 rises. Total value was $163 million.
Top stock Telecom was down 5c to 427 in early trading, No 2 Fletcher Building and No 3 Contact Energy were untraded early.
The Warehouse continued its popularity, up 9c to 630 on a low volume of 650,000 shares traded.
Hallenstein Glassons was down 4c to 430 after warning of a lower first half profit on Friday.
Also down were Kiwitrust, 3c to 135, Ryman 2c to 213 and Tower 3c to 219.
Westpac was up 70c to 3280, Sky TV up 4c to 560 and Auckland Airport up 3c to 287.
Fisher & Paykel had traded nearly 10 million shares but the price was steady at 315.
