New Zealand index values fell slightly last week as energy prices in the spot market were no longer subject to the significant peak period price spikes of previously weeks.
While demand has remained steady, above average hydro inflows into key catchment regions combined with fewer transmission constraints, have contributed to this price fall.
As a result, the NZ index fell 8.3 per cent to close on Saturday at 2.8556 c/kWh.
