The NZ electricity price index held relatively constant over the past week with only a small change recorded.
While prices in the spot market rallied in the upper North Island because of transmission constraints, energy prices throughout the rest of the country declined on the back of above-average inflows into key hydro catchment areas.
As a result, the index closed on Saturday at 2.7018c/kWh, 5 per cent down on the previous week's close.
