The computer distribution division of IT group Brocker Technology has been forced into liquidation by creditors owed more than $1 million.
Compaq and software giant Novell are among eight creditors owed money by Sealcorp, which stopped trading in March.
One of the creditors, visual technology specialist Silicon Graphics, yesterday won an application in the High Court at Auckland to liquidate the company's assets.
Brocker's communications manager, Nigel Murphy, said an alternative had been put to two creditors pressing for liquidation.
Sealcorp ran into trouble earlier this year when it transferred several million dollars across the Tasman to prop up Sealcorp Australia.
A $7.01 million accounting irregularity was found at Sealcorp Australia, forcing it into receivership.
Sealcorp's demise has left a leaner Brocker with three main areas of business.
Fiji-based IT sales and support business Datec was bought by the company last August for $37 million and employs 300 people. Brocker's personal services and online telecommunications divisions make up the rest of the company, employing 75 staff locally.
