The creators of homebuyer's guide Where to Live in Auckland are teaming up with a US publisher to expand its range of Where to Live books to major cities in the US and Canada.
The property markets of Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, New York and Chicago are among those set to get the books, created by Auckland-based Barbican Publishing three years ago.
Managing director Stephen Hart said homebuyers the world over wanted accurate information on which suburbs offered the best facilities and potential for capital gain.
"The US is the biggest home-buying market in the world and we want to help people there make the smartest choices."
Barbican has joined with NEXZUS Publishing Group for the venture.
Where to Live in Auckland has sold more than 30,000 copies in New Zealand since its launch in 2003.
It gives insight into the city's 53 neighbourhoods, costs to buy or rent, who lives there, real estate trends, types of housing and assessments of transport and leisure facilities.
