Winds of up to 90km/h have blown a boat in the middle of the Tauranga harbour off its moorings and into the rocks beside Dive Cres.
The 49-year-old boat was found wedged on the rocks behind Trinity Wharf Hotel yesterday morning but was believed to be in good condition.
Rescuers from Western Work Boats salvaged the boat from the rough conditions at high tide yesterday afternoon to prevent any further damage from the wild weather.
