Mount Maunganui Library and the neighbouring Mount Plunket Preschool look likely to stay on their current sites in Maunganui Rd.
Controversy surrounding the Tauranga City Council-owned land will be resolved tomorrow when councillors consider two options for the 1.15ha balance of the 1.6ha Maunganui Rd block.

Rateable land value: $6.1 million
Value of improvements: $5.6 million
Purchased in three stages: 1953-60, 1967, 1974
About 70 per cent of the balance of the land was leased to Zespri for its head office and the rest was parkland.
