Tauranga golfer Josh Geary has officially qualified for the 2018 European Tour after carding a six-under 65 in the final round of Q-school.
Geary started the final day in a tie for 17th on the cut line at the Lumine Golf Club in Tarragona, Spain, needing a top-25 finish to earn his full European Tour card.
After making an eagle on his second hole of the day, it was meant to be as the 33-year-old carded another eagle and four birdies to finish in a tie for ninth at 17-under, confirming his spot on the European Tour alongside countryman Ryan Fox.
Geary started the week in a slow but steady fashion after recording three even-par rounds before finding his mojo to go 17-under in his last three rounds (67, 64 and 65) to give his career the biggest boost to date.
