It took Kel Raine 71 years to gather his massive collection of records - and now the 87-year-old is preparing to sell all 6020 LPs.
The music lover, who bought his first record in 1946, has checked each LP in preparation for a sale where the ''buyer will have to take the lot''. He wants to hand over the collection to ''a good home'' and a fellow enthusiast that will ''value them and appreciate the music".
A quarter of his garage is dedicated to the records which are stacked in an orderly fashion on six catalogued storage racks. Titles include a mix of genres, including old-time favourites like Jim Reeves, the Glen Miller Orchestra and Bing Crosby through to Anne Murray, the Scottish Pipes and soundtracks to old show movies.
Mr Raine says the 78s, 45s and 33s were all in reasonable condition.
''Some of them have had a bit of a hiding over the years but generally, they are in good nick."
