It's the first day of summer tomorrow - although the sun will likely be hidden away by cloud.
Yesterday's clear skies and sunshine are not likely to return until after Friday, Metservice meteorologist Emma Blades said.
Today will start off sunny, but cloud will develop in the evening with light winds.
This sparks off a further four days of cloud and occasional showers, Mrs Blades said.
"Maximum temperatures will be around the low 20s this week, which is average for this time of year. Early morning temperatures will be in the mid teens.
