Port of Tauranga has obtained an injunction from the Employment Court requiring its staff and the staff of company C3 Limited to return to work after a picket line was formed yesterday.
A ship called Irene's Remedy had not been worked on over the weekend after it arrived on Saturday.
Work recommenced on the ship overnight. Port CEO Mark Cairns said the Maritime Union action had nothing to do with labour issues at the Tauranga Port but was over a dispute with the Port of Auckland.
