When it comes to excellence in customer service, the partners of Tauranga law firm Cooney Lees Morgan prefer their actions to speak louder than words.
And after walking away with the ASB Mid-size Law Firm of the Year Award handed out at the prestigious 2010 New Zealand Law Awards last week, they can be in no doubt their actions have spoken volumes with their clients.
Partners Owen Cooney and Murray Denyer accepted the award on behalf of the firm's 11 partners at a glittering ceremony at the Auckland Museum.
More than 2000 clients nominated or voted for and rated their lawyers.

One voter said "They have a great team of talented, hardworking and pragmatic lawyers and are very solution- orientated. I would never hesitate in recommending their services."
Mr Denyer said it was really exciting to have achieved this award.
"It's also pretty humbling to receive such wonderful comments and this kind of feedback."
