Cullinane dominate girls basketball

Cullinane College

On Thursday, July 30, Cullinane College competed in the Catholic Schools Quad Tournament, which was hosted by Chanel College in Masterton.

Other schools involved were Bishop Viard College (Wellington) and St Peter's College (Palmerston North).

A busy day of sport with a variety of codes being played - 1st XV rugby, senior boys and girls basketball, Senior B netball, hockey and football.

Cullinane won the senior girls basketball, Bishop Viard won senior boys basketball and the rugby, St Peter's the football and netball, while Chanel College won the hockey.

The overall placings of the Catholic Schools Quad Trophy:

1. St Peter's College - next year's hosts; 2. Bishop Viard College; 3. Chanel College; 4. Cullinane College.

A group of 12 runners from the Cross Country group ran in the relay section of The Manawatu Striders half marathon on Sunday. Only three had represented the school in running events previously.

The "vans" - Jenna van Dort, Klaas van der Oord, - Jules Harrey and Kate Russell were the first home of Collegiate's three teams.
