A woman who was convicted of drink driving was at it again three days later.
Chloe Monique Benny was driving north on SH3 on May 17 when she lost control on a "slight bend", police prosecutor Sergeant Stephen Butler said.
As Benny came through Kai Iwi she crashed her car on the bend, hitting a roadside barrier.
"The vehicle came to a stop blocking the southbound lane," Mr Butler said.
A blood test showed Benny to have 170mg of alcohol in her blood, more than three times the legal limit of 50mg.
