Wanganui pre-schoolers from the Funhouse Learning Centre were on a mission to buy new oxygen weed for their fish tank yesterday - riding in style in "bye bye buggies".
"We try to get out for walks at least once a week, and we are combining it with a trip to the pet shop today," said teacher Marcia Broadmore.
The six-seater buggies enable groups to have outings in the fresh air for trips to places like the library or the shops.
Centre manager Lisa Pihama said the centre had four buggies which were safe for toddlers and children aged up to five to ride in.
"They are a safe way to transport children on outings while enabling them to look around and enjoy the outdoors."
