He shared an Instagram of the moment which has hundreds of comments from supporters around the world applauding his respect to his fellow players.
DAD IN THE MAKING?
Richie McCaw is proving he could very well be dad material. His girlfriend Gemma Flynn captured a brilliant moment of the All Blacks captain with an adorable toddler. Gemma is also a Kiwi sporting star and represents New Zealand for the Black Sticks. She has been in London supporting Richie throughout his quest for back to back world cup wins.
Earlier this week All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has said the wives and girlfriends are key contributors to the All Blacks' Rugby World Cup campaign.
"I guess if I turned that around and said to you about how important would it be to have your family here, you would say the same thing - that it is great to have your loved ones and the people that know you the best [here], it's important."
CARTER'S FIRST WORLD CUP FINAL
Dan Carter missed the All Blacks' World Cup triumph four years ago due to an injury. This year he's set to play a key role in Saturday's final at Twickenham.
"You could probably see the emotion after the game. It's my fourth World Cup and I've never been involved in a World Cup final before so I'm pretty excited about that and can't wait to get into training this week and prepare as well as we possibly can." Carter said.
FEKITOA REVEALS IT ALL
Of all the players in the All Blacks squad, Malakai Fekitoa is one of the most active on social media. He uses the app Snapchat to diary the Rugby World Cup - providing his fans with a special insight into life as an All Black. He shares everything - from what the All Blacks are eating, the crazy moments inside the hotel, and isn't afraid to share a topless selfie...
HARDWORK IN THE GYM
"The brothers making the weekly Monday deposit at the grind bank," is the caption from Victor Vito in a photo he shared as the All Blacks trained ahead of their semi-final clash with South Africa.
Today the All Blacks moved into England's training base. The RFU spent $5.5 million creating a state of the art training facility for England's 2015 World Cup campaign only for the host nation to crash out of the tournament in pool play.
The facilities available to the All Blacks this week include a gym where the dumbbells are embossed with the English rose, and a high-tech desso pitch designed to mimic the Twickenham surface.
KAINO SHOWS HIS RESPECT
The All Blacks have made Kiwis proud - and shown our humble Kiwi values to the world.
Earlier this week Namibia captain Jaque Burger posted a shot of himself and Jerome Kaino shaking hands. He said, "I was very impressed by how humble the @allblacks are considering they have every reason not to be..."
Jerome Kaino shared the photo too and responded to Burger: "Was an honour to play against you brother, hope you're well brother @jburgertime"
