Auckland skier Peter Williams finished a creditable 20th in the men's sitting giant slalom at the Vancouver Winter Paralympics yesterday.
Williams completed his first run in 1min 34.16s to be in 27th place.
After weather delays, he managed a combined time of 3:11.86 to climb seven spots.
German Martin Braxenthaler won in 2:37.40. New Zealand's standing slalom gold medallist Adam Hall has withdrawn from today's giant slalom, saving himself for the Super G on Sunday and the Super Combined a day later.
