Rotorua's mountain bikers will do almost anything to get new trails. As well as a Givealittle page set up to boost the Rotorua Mountain Bike Club's reinstatement of the Exit Trails, a group of dedicated riders have committed to an "undie run" if their target is raised by tonight.
Last year Lisa Horlor, who is a club committee member, rode an undie run in the cold after putting her body on the line for the sake of charity.
This year the club is fundraising for two new trails. The overall target is $7340 but the Undie Run will go ahead at $5500.
"We could do something normal and usual like run a race to raise funds, but people enter the race and forget what the money is needed for," said Miss Horlor.
"The Undie Run is a bit controversial, but it is noticed, and it is remembered. People tend to donate for a giggle."
