A Whanganui woman was driving home from a day-long business trip in Wellington when she swayed across the white middle line and hit another vehicle.
Family Works' employee Sherrie Puti-Tamihana was sentenced at the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday for one count of careless driving.
The incident occurred at around 6pm on November 2 on Anzac Pde in Whanganui when Puti-Tamihana was minutes away from getting home and lost control.
Defence lawyer Stephen Ross said she had been doing quite a lot of thinking while driving and was tired from her work conference when she lost concentration.
Judge Stephanie Edwards said Puti-Tamihana had attended restorative justice with the victim and it seemed to have a very positive outcome.
