KEY POINTS:
Former sports presenter Tony Veitch, who is accused of attacking his former partner, was further remanded on bail when he appeared in Auckland District Court today.
Veitch faces six counts of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kristin Dunne-Powell and one of injuring with reckless disregard.
At the time Veitch said he would fight to clear his name and that he looked forward to telling his side of the story.
The charges follow reports about the pair's tumultuous relationship, culminating in an incident when Ms Dunne-Powell was allegedly left with four broken vertebrae.
Media applications to film Veitch inside court today were banned by Judge Christopher Field.
Veitch looked tired as he appeared in the dock wearing a grey jacket, open necked white shirt and jeans.
He was accompanied at the hearing by his wife and two other women supporters.
He left the court without making any comment to waiting media.
Veitch, who has resigned from his sports presenting jobs with TVNZ and Radio Sport, admitted in July he "lashed out in anger" against Ms Dunne-Powell.
His lawyer Stuart Grieve said in court today he was not ready for a depositions hearing and the case was adjourned for another pre-depositions hearing on October 20.
