Bill Murray has given his endorsement to a mooted all-female Ghostbusters reboot - and even offered his own casting suggestions.
The star of the original 1984 supernatural comedy responded enthusiastically to suggestions that the concept could be reborn as an all-female franchise. The actor proposed Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig as possible stars.
"It sounds great to me. It sounds as good as an idea as any other. There are a lot of women that could scare off any kind of vapour," said Murray who has so far declined to sign up to a third film in the Ghostbusters series, planned for next year.
