A boy from Texas has invented a device which he hopes will save the lives of babies and young children if they become locked in a hot car.
39 toddlers died in 2016 as a result of being left inside sweltering cars after being forgotten about by their parents.

It was the highest number of deaths in three years with the state of Texas having the highest number in the nation with nine cases.
